North America and Pelican Nebula

This stunning mosaic captures the North America Nebula and the Pelican Nebula. The North America Nebula is a vast emissions nebula, over 10 times the size of a full moon when viewed with the naked eye. Located 2,590 light-years from Earth, this celestial vista is a marvel. The Pelican Nebula, another dynamic emissions nebula, exhibits a lively mix of star formation and evolving gas clouds that undergo transitions from cold to hot, resulting in ionization. It graces the Cygnus constellation and sits 1,800 light-years away from Earth. This project took 4 nights for data acquisition and showcases the nebulae in the Hubble Palette (False Color Image) with over 40 hours of exposure time.
