Rosette Nebula
The Rosette Nebula is a cosmic nursery where we witness new stars being born, shaped by the intense radiation and stellar winds from the young stars at its center. About 5,200 light years away in the constellation Monoceros, I marvel at how this nebula glows with vivid colors as ionized hydrogen gas forms its iconic flower-like structure. As an astrophotographer, I capture its beauty in the Hubble Palette, created with over 17 hours of exposure, revealing intricate star-forming regions and delicate filaments—a stunning reminder to me of the universe’s creativity and scale.
